Welcome.
Featuring the work of Kristen Hernandez. Since 2011.
I have been a lover of language, both spoken and written, since a very young age. Thus, it was only fitting I made my love official by majoring in Communication Studies while studying at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Words have always been my strength, but photography captured my imagination long ago. Since I could remember, I have been fascinated with photography. My favorites have always been those captured leading up to and during The Kennedy Administration. These images by photographer Cecil W. Stoughton convey so much emotion, without a single word spoken. You never forget your first love.
On our wedding day, my husband and I had the incredible privilege of working with Kristina Carter + Molly Grace of Vrai. We chose them because their work was like nothing we had ever seen--full of emotion, truth and life. And so, my love affair with photography continued. I began paying closer attention to the images I loved. I learned more of the mechanics of what goes into creating an exceptional image from another well-respected photographer I befriended, Rachel Williams. And then....I PRACTICED.
In early 2011, I began receiving requests from friends asking me to help them capture special moments in their lives. An engaged love. The anticipated arrival of a new life. The miracle of a baby. The energy of a two-year-old. The bond of a family. The love of a grandparent. I obliged...and the rest is history.
